Looking for 2BR apt.
Hello everyone,
My DH and I are looking for a 2BR apartment. We're pretty open on the location. It would be for the 2 of us plus our small dog and baby coming in December!
Thanks!
ETA: We're looking anywhere between as far West as Merrick and as far East as Ronkonkoma.
ETA again.. budget is around $1500
Thanks!

Re: Looking for 2BR apt.
Are you looking to circumvent a broker's fee? If not, feel free to give me a call. We have some 2 bedroom apartment listings in our office (some of which are our office exclusives), so I may be able to help.
For example - I know we have a 2 bedroom apartment available in Bethpage. Rent is $1450, which includes heat and water (electric is extra). But I'd have to check if they'd take a small dog. Sometimes landlords will be open to it, but will want extra security or a pet fee, but some have a strict no pet policy (regardless of size, breed, etc.).
We have another 2 bedroom in Farmingdale -- it's in diamond condition (updated kitchen with gas stove, updated bath with new fixtures and ceramic tile, freshly painted). It's $1400 and again that includes heat and water but not electric.
You can FM me or email me directly at [email protected], if you want some help with your search!

Are you willing to buy a coop or are you intrerested in renting? I am about to sell a 2 bedroom coop- pets allowed. Bayside, Queens

I'm sorry, we're not in the position to buy just yet! Thank you anyway!

Re: Looking for 2BR apt.
May I suggest looking at coops or condo rentals? I think the prices for 2 bedroom apartments in somebody's home is obscene. Currently we rent a large 2 bedroom coop that has a clubhouse and pool and covers heat, gas and water for $1300 (plus $10 per pet). The privacy alone is worth it. We will never go back to renting in somebody's house again.

Re: Looking for 2BR apt.
I found both of my 2 bed apts on craigslist.
THey were both in Lindenhurst and one was through owner and the other was through an agent.
I had better luck with the LL through an agent.
Both apts were between 1500-1650. The 1650 was HUGE, 2 bed basement garage yard.
That was the normal rate in that area so you might want to look there.
