ISO-2BR Apt in Levittown, Bethpage, East Meadow, Wantaugh-HELP!
Hi all!
My fiance and I are looking for a 2br apt in any of the towns I listed. Starting in the fall, we will both be working in the city and are looking to move to Nassau. We are having the hardest time finding a place-everything we look at is yucky, small, overpriced or a combination of all three!
I am getting discouraged and would like to move this summer.
Our budget is anywhere between 1500-1800, but the higher end hopefully would include utilities.
Please let me know if you or someone you know is looking to rent an apartment! We have good credit, stable jobs, and excellent references. Oh and we have no pets and are non-smokers.

Can I ask why you are limited to those towns? I am based in N. Bellmore, so my office gets a lot of listings (some of which we keep exclusive) in those areas, but also Merrick, Bellmore, etc. I think if you are commuting to the city by train, you'd want to be on the Babylon train line -- so towns like Wantagh, but also Merrick, Bellmore, Seaford. East Meadow, you'd need to drive down to Bellmore or up to Hicksville (also a good train line), Levittown, you could go to Bethpage or Wantagh or Seaford.
But as a former commuter who lives in Bellmore, I can tell you there are a lot of express trains on that line (they go Wantagh, Bellmore, and Merrick, and then straight to Penn).
So would you consider Merrick, Bellmore, or Seaford, too?
Also, do you have any pets?

I would definitely look there! I don't know those areas that well, but as long as they are safe and nice, I think we are open! I looked at those towns because I know people there, and have seen the towns. I am not originally from LI, so it is all a learning process for me.
We have no pets, and both work full-time and go to school part-time! We are really good tenants!

My hubby and I are looking to rent our 1 bedroom apartment in RVC this summer (we are moving into a house). I know its not exactly what you are looking for, but just throwing that out there.

Thank you so much for the reply! However, we really need the 2nd bedroom. My fiance is a professional musician and he has a ton of recording gear and guitars, so we really need a place to put them that isn't the living room, bedroom, hall closet, and kitchen.
My dream is contain all of the music stuff....right now my apartment's decorating scheme is "Guitars!"

ahhh! Where were you last year when we were trying to rent our apt??? It would have been perfect for you, I think. Now I have my brother living there, who pays rent when he feels like it, but I can't kick him out. Stupid me.
