Braxton Hicks questions
While I still feel good overall at 31 weeks, for the past few weeks, I've been getting a lot of uncomfortable tightness in my belly, which I assume are Braxton Hicks, in the late afternoon and evening. Sometimes I also get a little tightness in my back. Changing positions helps at times, but other times, I still have a little tightness. It tends to happen when I'm driving home from work and during the evening. I usually feel fine at all other times. I do not remember really having this with my first pregnancy and definitely not this early or frequent. It makes me a little nervous.
Is it normal to have Braxton Hicks mostly in the late afternoon and evening? I drink a lot of water so I don't think that's the issue. Moms of 2+, are you experiencing more Braxton Hicks this time around? At what point, if any, should I be concerned? I feel more of a constant tightness than short periods of tightness or rhythmic contractions.

Re: Braxton Hicks questions
I've been getting them for awhile now. Probably started around 28 weeks or so. They are definitely more frequent and a lot stronger now, at some times even uncomfortable. I get them all day long, morning noon and night.

Re: Braxton Hicks questions
Definitely had more in the late afternoon and evening. Started becoming quite regular around 32 weeks.

Re: Braxton Hicks questions
yes that is what my OB told me is that it tends to happen more in the afternoon or evening. I think because it can be due to you doing too much and not resting with some dehydration. In the mornings we are usually good.

Re: Braxton Hicks questions
I have the exact same thing. I barely remember having BH with DS. I have been having BH now for at least a month, I am 30 weeks. I have had them a lot in the last 2 weeks. I went to my OB earlier this week just to make sure that it wasn't anything to be concerned about. I have also had periods of constant tightening and they are definitely worse in the evening. I have found that taking a little break during the day and trying to stay really well hydrated has helped a bit. But I would also say that you should at least call your Dr. just to make sure there is no problem. I called mine when I had constant BH for a few hours. Everything is fine, but better to be safe than sorry. GL!

Re: Braxton Hicks questions
yes totally normal. With #2, i always had them in the late afternoon/evening. I swore when i went into labor, it was going to be at night (i went into labor at 5am).
With #2, i definitely had more BH and i even had real contractions for a few weeks prior to his arrival (didn't with my 1st).
