If you had a sonogram late in the 3rd trimester...
How close was the weight/length estimate to your baby's birth weight/length?
I'm 39w6d & I just had a growth sono today - doctor's estimate is 7lb 10 oz & 20 inches. The estimate is SO close to my actual weight/length when I was born!

I didn't have one that late, I delivered at 39 weeks and the baby was WAY smaller than they had told me was going to be at 33 weeks.

Re: If you had a sonogram late in the 3rd trimester...
I had growth monthly growth scans, weekly dopplers and NST. The MFS was dead on with the weight estimate. Ds was born at 38 weeks. I had a growth scan at 36 weeks that estimated he was 5.5lbs. Ds was born 2 weeks later at 6.5lbs. I was told babies gain a half pound a week so they were dead on. Dd was also born in my 38th week. She was estimated 6.5lbs at 36 weeks and she was born 7.5lbs.

Re: If you had a sonogram late in the 3rd trimester...
I had sonos x a week from 34 weeks on. At my 37 week 2 day appt, DS was estimated at 7 lbs 2 oz. Because of pre-e, I had my DS later that night by c/s. He was 7 lbs 12 oz.
All my sono estimates in all my pregnancies have been pretty close or spot on.

Re: If you had a sonogram late in the 3rd trimester...
I had a lot of sonos from week 32-38 (I delivered at 38). They were all spot on, so exact it was scary. Only one was way off and that was the morning I delivered. But I had one a few days before I delivered and it was off by 5oz.

I can't comment for myself yet, but right before my cousin gave birth they told her that her DD was going to be close to 9 lbs. She was born at 7 lbs 13 oz.

Re: If you had a sonogram late in the 3rd trimester...
I am only 26 weeks but my OB never even gave me estimate with my DD b/c they are always way off...he doesn't believe in them. Anyone I know who's had them - they've literally been off by a good 2 lbs or so.
