Random ?: People who work in salons
I always wondered this. Sorry if I sound dumb.
Do they make a salary besides their tips?
Like minimum wage?

I worked in a salon, p/t. Washing hair.
I was giving pay based for the day and what I made in tips was my extra.
Not bad. I was paid $60 for day and then the tips.

Yes, they do.
They get a check for tax purposes, salary depends on a lot.

Inm general what the pay is is very close to minimum wage if u get a salary at all. Some salons are day pay with commission. Some are commission only ( so if u no show to the appt we get nada!). Also its very rare to find a salon that gives any benefits unless it is a chain salon

When I worked as a shampoo girl I made $40/day plus tips.
