Frustrated -TTC/Work/Toddler

I just wanted to vent – DH and I can barely BD because of working and childcare. During the week basically doesn’t happen because he gets home so late and I keep saying to DH that we’ll never get pregnant just trying on the weekends. Urgh! We were able to get it in once this weekend but I just feel so frustrated.

So sorry !! ! But I feel your pain!! Dh & I both work pretty long hours. And he has 4 nights during the week where he’s home late (leaves at 7am not home until 10pm) and on those nights nothing is happened because he’s too tired. We usually on BD on the weekend and that doesn’t really help if I “O” mid week!

Are you tracking your cycles? It helped when I got a better idea of my cycles. We knew O was close last week and we were able to get an extra BD in mid week. This scheduling is definitely making TTC a longer process for us b/c we’re not doing the every other day BD.

I probably should be keeping better track but my DS is super clingy and is awake well before me – so I wouldn’t know how I could consistently temp. I’ve thought about buying an OPK, but keep holding off. I think I would be even more frustrated if the O window was during the week and we couldn’t BD – but maybe it would be better to know. I feel like I’m a CM detective and use that as my guide right now (although it is so unpredictable!). The other issue is that we had a really easy time with number 1, so DH gets irritated when I start using the TTC language – he thinks it will just happen ( )

I also check CM-that's how i knew last week was a good chance for us midweek. I try not to throw out any TTC lingo-my DH is the same-that it will happen when it happens. BUT I know that's not helping our chances if we only BD when we feel the urge and miss our window!

Good Luck! Maybe if you're checking your CM and find you have a good shot just try to make BD more appealing and not about baby making-wear something nice; set the mood.

You’re right and I do need to lay off the TTC lingo. I was just so frustrated at some point that I felt like he needed to understand that it doesn’t just happen! On a funny note – things were really good when I was reading that 50 Shades of Gray series

my dh works crazy hours also and by the time he is home all we want to do is go to bed, but we always said 'if we are too tired for a quickie....then how are we going to function with a newborn and toddler'
