Re: Swimming with Nurse Sharks/Sting Rays?

DH and I did a shark cage dive on one of our Hawaii trips. It was amazing. There was a 15 foot tiger shark the day we went. It was a little scary though - especially since tiger sharks are known to be aggressive - but we were in a cage.

I've been in open water with sting rays and they kind of creep me out. I don't know why....

Update:

I just wanted to give a HUGE rave to viator.com, specifically Maria over in las Vegas! I called with a few questions about the excursion and they were so, so helpful and pleaseant. We even got disconnected (my fault!) halfway through the call and she called me right back. They called the tour company directly with any questions I had that they couldn't answer and even verified that enough people were interested in the excursion on our date that it wouldn't be cancelled. I will *definitely* be booking through viator.com again!

And I'm soooooooo excited for this excursion!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I've done both. I've also swam with whale shark, the largest fish in the ocean. That was a truly amazing experience to swim with a 40 ft GIANT shark in the wild!

WOW! I can't even imagine it. Really though, I can't wrap my head around what that would be like! That must've been amazing!!!

ETA: I had to look up the size ratio. Just WOW! Now I wanna put this on my bucket list! Where did you do this, if you don't mind my asking??

Sorry, I 've been busy so I haven't answered this. It was off the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
