Moving sucks. Like SUCKS.
I am very excited that I bought a house and get to live there.
But moving is the worst hell on earth.
like Hell.
Like SUCKS.
Like "will I have all the crap I own, which I have no right to own as much crap as I do, packed by Friday morning?"

this is when you do that Oprah cleaning thing..."Do I really need this? Will I miss it?" Makes moving a lot easier when you dump half the crap! And then you don't have to unpack it all either! Win/win!

Totally. Childbirth was less painful than moving.
When I moved from a one bedroom city apartment to my house, I could not believe how much stuff we had accumulated and how much I had to pack. I packed up until the minute the movers came!
But somehow it all gets done in the end! Good luck with the move.

Yup. It royally blows. We moved 5 months ago and our garage is still full of boxes that we haven't unpacked yet. Packing sucked, unpacking sucks, the only thing that doesn't suck is that we have a house.

it sure does, I'm just starting to pack. I have so much crap that never knew existed. Lets just say the size 6 high school jeans really do have to go. It's time for me to accept it'll never happen.

Everything you are all saying is so true.
We went from a quasi 2 br in NYC to a 3500 house to rent. We knew we were moving to a house we woul buy, so haven't opened all the boxes and put everything out since NYC.
So I have boxes from 2 years ago I still have to move.
Thank god my boss is letting me work from home today and tomorrow, and I'm off on thu, with the move on Friday.
And boxes are not cheep. Like NOT. FYI if you get the boxes at uhaul and KEEP thus recipt, you can return any unused boxes.
This is my 3rd move in 4 years. I'm over it. At least I won't have to move for at least 20. Unless we win the lottery.......
And I'll have a lot of boxes to give away next week!!!!!
Ps. I think if I had the option. Between a colonoscopy and moving I would pick the colonoscopy. And I have been through both. It's all shit in the end anyway.

If it makes you feel better. I had to have an emergency c section and was literally packing crap as my Dr was calling me telling me to get my butt to the hospital. I got discharged and the babies were in the NICU...finished packing with DH and closed on the my new house the day my twins were discharged from the NICU. Unpacked in my new house with 2 week old twins....life was insane!

This is why we will never move.
I told DH I will be buried in the backyard of our home.
I couldn't even imagine having to pack up all the shit we have accumulated in the 10 years we have lived in our home.
I beleive it would be impossible.

I only had to "move" from my parent's house into my house so I can't even imagine the true suckiness. Pretty sure I never want to.
