How would you have responded to this?
I went to a friends house earlier along with 2 other of my friends. The girl whos house we went to had a baby 3 months ago. I was holding the little guy (super cute by the way!) and my friend (who along with the rest of the group does NOT know im TTC) says to me, you should hold off on having kids because you do NOT look good holding a baby.
What does that even mean?!?!?
I just laughed & took it as a joke.

Ok that is a really odd thing to say to anyone...
I aSsume It was a joke,a bad one
I would think nothing of it bc many people the first time they hold a kid is when it is their own
Unless u were holding the kid upside down I am sure u were fine...I would have just laughed it off even though in my head Been like um ok thanks

It's about equal to my dumb @ss uncle saying at Easter, "People who don't have children immediately after marriage have problems because they're not doing it the right way." It's a stupid comment. I wouldn't even entertain your friends stupid comment with a response. Sounds like you're letting a lot of things get to you lol Totally understandable but you have to let it go. I've come to realize that MOST people have stupid things to say. That's really all there is to it.

Nah this comment didnt really bother me because even though I've been friends with this girl for like 15 years, I still know she's an idiot  lol. I was just curious as to how other people would have responded.

Someone said that to me once when I was pregnant.. and it was hands down one of the rudest things I've ever heard. I'm a kick ass Mom BTW and I KNOW I look amazing with a baby in my arms. You will too! Some people are asses.
