Anyone get bad headaches early on?
I've had a mild tension headache day 3 now. I don't know if it's a pregnancy thing or from abruptly stopping coffee.
Its more on the back of my head and neck than the normal spot a headache would be. Doc said I could take regular Tylenol but I don't want to keep taking too much.
I have seen some girls say that have coffee still, is it safe in moderation?

Re: Anyone get bad headaches early on?
Sorry you're not feeling well!
It could be hormones, or it could be from caffeine withdrawal.
My dr. said I could have 1 cup of regular coffee a day. Maybe try having the 1 cup and see how you feel. You can always gradually mix regular and decaf together until you wind up with just decaf eventually, if you wanted to caffeine free. But, like I said, my dr. had no problem with 1 cup a day.
Feel better!

One cup of coffee is totally fine. So is regular tylenol. I've yet to hear of a doctor who said NO caffeine whatsoever.

Re: Anyone get bad headaches early on?
I had pretty frequent tension headaches during the first trimester, and then they went away in the second. I actually get less frequent headaches now than I did before I was pregnant. My only regular source of caffeine was tea on work days, and I cut that out, but I'm not sure if the headaches were due to that small amount of caffeine or hormones. Either way, it is okay to have some caffeine.
ETA: I did take Tylenol for my headaches. My doctor said extra strength was fine.

Re: Anyone get bad headaches early on?
I had pretty bad headaches and neckaches during my 1st trimester. I am not and have not been a coffee drinker so I think it was just my hormones. They went away just before I hit my 2nd trimester. I remember my dr, like other ladies have already said, telling me that I could have 1 cup a day.

Re: Anyone get bad headaches early on?
I had horrible headaches my entire first trimester. The only thing that helped was tylenol and a cup of coffee.
