Baby Showers
Are really hard to go to. I haven't had to go to any since I started TTC OVER a year ago ( ). Today was my first. I am happy for my friend but sad for myself. There was another pregnant woman there and 3 babies.
I was joking around to the other pregnant woman that I was gonna sit by her all day so maybe I would become fertile by osmosis.
Next month is my SILs baby shower. I think THAT one is gonna be harder.

I know how you feel - basically everyone I know is pregnant! We have 4 babies due in our families from 4/26-5/20!!! We really just started TTC so it doesn't bum me out too much yet, it's still hard not to be a little jealous.

i havent had to go to any yet, thankfully., sorry you have to deal with this..
its hard, i put on this weird fake smile (i could feel the fakeness on my face lol) when i am in situations like this...and its not fake because im not happy for the person, its fake because although im happy for them, im sad for myself. im sure many of us feel the same

it suucks...i know i have been there!
i think i have been to 15 showers since we started ttc in 2009
i felt exactly as u felt..there were some i did not go to..and that was ok..if u do not feel good going then u should not
it took a long long long time for me to get here but it hit me one day that the world cannot revolve around my ovaries..life goes on..and i will be happy for them the way i want them to be for me
now after saying that does it sting..of course..i a human..and everything u r feeling is ok..
i also always try to keep in mind u never know the path it took someone to get there..if my shower was tomorrow many at theparty would not know it tok this long with multiple mc's and ivf..kwim?

Thanks!! This is gonna sound awful, but the only thing that made me feel okay about going is that I have been working out recently (I have to channel my energy somehow) and I bought a cute spring dress. Hell if I can't be pregnant I will definitely look cute. I got lots of compliments at the party and it made me feel a bit better. I know that is AWFUL but we get through it how we can, huh?
