I'm trying to decide on window coverings:

The panels look the same to me. Are they different? 
I like the panels WITH the woven blinds.

I would do both.
I would do the matchstick blinds and then do a mini rod on the ends of the windows to make them stationary panels.

If you look at the windows on the right..this is how I would do it.
Basically the shortest rod you can find and you put it up on the ends.
We look at this house when we were looking and fell in love with how they did the windows treatments.

Tough decision lol. I THINK I like the brown shades more then the tan drapes.
Keep in mind some other things:
* Are you looking to bring some darker accents into the room. If so the shades might be better.
* What type of windows do you have? If they aren't a standard size then you'd have to special order the shades which could be $. Also, if they are long windows then having the drapes would accentuate that length better then shades.
* Are you placing any furniture under the window. If so, think if you want the drapes hanging down on or around that furniture.
