Those who bought gliders
How important is it to get one that reclines? Is it just a waste of $$$

Re: Those who bought gliders
i think its a matter of choice. My nephew had one (10 yearsago)and i loved that it reclined.. so when he fell asleep i could recline ..

Re: Those who bought gliders
We're limited on space so we got a smaller glider that doesn't recline. I've sat in it a bunch of times and it's really comfy. I don't think the recline is necessary.

Re: Those who bought gliders
It's a matter of preference. My glider does not recline. I have the ottoman and I find it to be very confortable! I've actually fallen asleep in it while putting DD to bed on several occasions.

Re: Those who bought gliders
I didn't think it was a big deal, but when ds was an infant he nursed a lot at night and it could take a while. I found that I slept in the glider pretty often & being able to recline/having the ottoman helped me to be a bit more comfortable...

Re: Those who bought gliders
I think everyone is different but I have one that doesnt recline but it does have the ottoman. I am kicking myself that it doesnt recline, I think it would really be nice for those late night feedings. We have ours in our living room right now until she goes in her nursery and I sit it in sometimes and it does get uncomfortable, for me anyway.

Re: Those who bought gliders
I have a glider/recliner and got it to save space instead of getting an ottoman. I didn't really use the recline much at all because I liked to rock as opposed to recline while feeding/reading.

Re: Those who bought gliders
I have one with an ottoman that doesn't recline for DD. I like it although I could never drift off in it soley because it doesn't recline. DC #2 is in a smaller room and I decided to save some space and not do the ottoman and get one that reclines instead...this was a must have this time around!

Re: Those who bought gliders
I have a glider recliner and I love it! We also don't have a ton of room to have the ottoman so the recliner aspect was perfect because we don't need the ottoman. Saves space and now we have it in our living room like furniture (we have an upholstered glider recliner, not a wood one).

Re: Those who bought gliders
mine reclines and I love it. Spent more than I wanted to - but totally worth it. Have slept in it many nights when DS was smaller.

Re: Those who bought gliders
I dont think that I can fit the ottoman or a full recliner like what I have in my living room but I am going to get the wood recline/glider instead.
thank you so much for your responses.
