Has anyone ever designed and built a closet organizer?
Not an out of the box-follow-the-enclosed-directions kind, but from scratch?
We have very narrow but deep (though not walk-in deep) closets in the bedrooms of our house. They currently have one rod across the middle and it's just not efficient. Hard to find online inspiration too for this width of closet, so wondering if anyone here has done it.
I'd love to see shots of narrow closets that did use an out-of-the-box product too.
TIA!

I haven't doen that, but I have a narrow deep closet too.
It actually has two clothing rods, and a shelf. It's my coat closet, so the 2 rod system works fine. We keep out of season coats in the back. Youc could probaably do that with clothes too-either keep out of season or special occasion stuff in the back. You can get to it, but it woud be annoying for everyday stuff.

Check out the containerstore.com
You can customize a closet online or have some help you online or over the phone. I designed one for my mother's room and they helped tweak it over the phone they were so nice I can't wait until they come to westbury!
