organizing babies clothes

I am having a tough time figuring out how I should organize the babies clothes. A lot of things I have say 0-3, 3-6, etc. Others say just 3 mo, 6mo, etc. I tried looking up the manufacturers to figure out what sizes they will fit but the one I am having an issue with is Circo (Target). Everything I have says 3mo, 6mo, etc but when I go online to the size chart to make a comparison to the other brands to see if a "3" starts at 3mo or goes up to 3mo I cant get any info b/c their size chart online shows 0-3, 3-6, etc. I am thinking a "3" would be up to 3mo so just like a 0-3, does anyone know for sure?

Re: organizing babies clothes

For DS' clothes I found that anything marked with just a month size was UP TO that month.

So Carters or Circo size 3 months would be grouped together with anything marked 0-3 months etc.

I put all the newborn clothes together, all the 0-3 or 3 months together, 3-6 and 6 months together and so on.

You'll find that some brands run a tad larger than others. For example, IME Gap runs a big large, but Gerber is AWFUL, they run SOOOO small. 3 months size in Gerber clothes is comparable to newborn (always subtract one size from the marked Gerber sizes to see what it will really fit!).

Yes --- if it says 3 months then it is 0-3 months....

Always go with the larger size in the X-X and that is the real size.

We organized by putting the things that needed to be hung up in the closet together by size, and we got these little size dividers at BBB.

Then we did the "essentials" like socks, bibs, onesies, hats and booties in ONE drawer...top drawer..

Sleep and Plays, 2 piece outfits, sleepsacks, etc... went into the next drawer...

The bottom drawer is recieving blankets, towels and washclothes...

Heavier items like crib sheets, waterproof pads, heavier blankets and crocheted blankets went into the door side of the changing table...or if I didn't have a door side, I'd have put them in baskets on a shelf in the closet.

Re: organizing babies clothes

Thanks for the info ladies. I have the closet dividers which has been a huge help, just wanted to make sure I had everything divided right before I started to look into what else we will need.
