Cesspool/septic tank cleaning
Has anyone ever had their cesspool/septic tank dug out and cleaned out? How much did you pay?

Yup, last fall. The settling tank was dug up until its top could be taken off (it was about 30" wide) then the tank was sucked out and the pools were cleaned after being sucked out by using a long hose and more sucking. I believe we were charged by the gallon of the raw sewage removed - not the extra water added and removed - and I think it ran about $1200. It hadn't been done in many years.
