2nd time moms might appreciate this

So DH normally does the laundry, but I decided to wash DS' clothes and a bunch of the new baby's clothes so I went to the laundromat with DS.

Besides the fact that he eventually had a FIT because he wanted out of the stroller, I decided to walk to the playground while the clothes were in the dryer. I figured I could let him run around while I sat and rested.

What I didn't count on was that the basketball nets and soccer area were right next to the playground so my 2 year old OBSESSED with balls kept running out of the playground (thanks everyone for leaving the door open even after I closed it 3 times!) to try to get the basketballs and soccer balls!



It's a teensy bit embarrassing when your 2 year old runs faster than your 7+ months pregnant self! I had no idea how fast he was (and how slow I've become!).

I was BEYOND exhausted by the time I got back to the laundromat and I still had to get him and everything home and then fold a crap load of clothes. Totally NOT the best idea!

That must have been a pretty funny sight!

I've been "non-chalantly" avoiding taking DD to the park lately ("Oh you take her and I'll start dinner" "I'll hang back here and clean the apartment" "Honey...she needs some alone time with Daddy!") because I just can't keep up with her tireless energy. When it's my days with her we take long, SLOW strolls with her little doll stroller. I'm really looking forward to running around with her like crazy after this baby comes. I'll be that nut in the park with a newborn in the sling hanging from the monkey bars with my toddler. Well...maybe. lol.

I've been avoiding the playground for that reason. DH has been taking DS and some of the moms there during the week have commented to DH how fast DS was.
