So if anyone remembers the thread asking about the Creosote Sweeping Log CSL thread & I said we've used them with no problem for years...well until Tues when we had a chimney fire Chat Icon (Ok not really funny but thank god our house didn't burn down..funny because DH is a volunteer in our fire department & we both know the Fire Marshal and all the guys who came to put it out)
Needless to say the Fire Marshal said they really don't work...get your chimney cleaned professionally once a year if you use your stove alot, which we do. Luckily there was no damage except to the chimney...because DH was home! Chat Icon
