Recommendation for an engineer?
I am about to put an offer on a house that is on the older side and we want to be really sure that we get a good inspection. I had heard the advice not to use the realtor's engineer, but dont know one of my own. By any chance does anyone have someone they would recommend? Thanks.

I just put in an offer on a house in Commack. My agent recommended Safe Harbor 631-275-8080

We used Rich at Win Home Inspection. 516-785-4124
We used him twice and he also conducts a termite inspection and was very thorough. Our contractor who is very ocd and critical of other's work recommended him.
Keep in mind, this individual is a home inspector, not an engineer, they are two different things.

we used pillar to post and were incredibly happy with them...fantastic company
very reasonable, and our house is almost 100 years old
