WWYD - 13 y/o dishwasher
My 13 year old dishwasher suddenly started making a whistling noise during the wash cycle. I shut it off, drained it, then ran a rinse only cycle. Same thing, it started whistling.
Dishes were clean, nothing clogging the drain, the spray arms moved freely.
Would you call in a repairman and have it looked at or buy a new one ?

get a new one....its not worth it to get it fixed. We had our old one looked at and the parts alone would have been more than a new unit.

I have been wanting to get rid of this one because it is so noisy, waiting for the 'need' part to kick in.
Next step researching good quality quiet dishwashers.

we got rid of our VERY noisy dishwasher and got a Bosch. So super quiet. You cant even hear when its running. There is a little light that shines on the floor to show that its on.
I LOVE it!
