Question about stims and those damn Q-caps

Ok so I am on 1cc liquid to mix with Bravelle and Menopur.
1. What do I do w/the other cc of liquid in the bottle? Save for next day or discard?

2. The q-cap didn't work for me. I ended up drawing with the needle like the nurse showed me. The plunger on the syringe kept bouncing back up with the Q-cap. what did I do wrong?

You can throw away the extra liquid. You will have so much left over. You don't need the extra.

As for the qcap I'm not sure what went wrong. Did you fill the syringe wit air first then push the air out into the bottle?

We don't use the Q-caps either! I think that DH found them annoying. Throw the extra liquid out... you will have so much at then end of stims.

The Q-cap makes it much easier to use. Just keep your finger on the plunger. You'll get used to it.

ok so when I put the Q-cap on, the plunger should be depressed?

When you first put the Q-cap on, the plunger is depressed. Put the cap on. Then draw in 1cc of air. Turn it over so vial is on the bottom. Push the air into the dilutent, turn over, and draw up 1cc of dilutent. Repeat process until you have whatever you need in the syringe. Take off Q-cap and put the needle on. You're ready to inject.

Thanks again! I saw that video on youtube too I tried again w/DH and we both decided it was better to draw with the needle. The Q cap is soooooo annoying. I appreciate everyone's help!
