This kinda annoys me...
I had a surprise baby shower 2 weekends ago and was very appreciative of it, we got so many things that we needed for the baby.
But with 19 days to go until my due date, I am trying to tie up some loose ends. I want my diaper bag and hospital bag ready to go, want everything washed and put away for the baby.
One thing that is driving me nuts is that there are several things that we definately NEED that were on my registry and are being shown as purchased on my registry (such as towels, wash clothes, swaddle mes, changing table pad, first aid kit, toiletry items) that we didn't purchase and we didn't recieve at the shower.
These were all small things that I added to my registry with hopes of going there last week to clear out my registry using my completion coupon, and many of them things we will possibly need to use right away when the baby is born. People purchased them for me right before and right after my shower --- but I don't know who and I have not recieved them!
Am I just being a nut and somewhat OCD that it bothers me that I don't have them in hand?
Should I re-add them to my registry (adjust quantities) so that I can go and buy them myself, and I can always return extras if people ever give them to us?

That would probably annoy me too, especially since you need the items ASAP and have no way of knowing if you're going to receive them as a gift or if the person or people who bought them changed their minds and exchanged them for something else. Your idea to add more to your registry so you can use the coupon sounds good. And if you end up with duplicates just return them.

i would call up the place you registered and see what's going on. i know we had a guest that bought us something and it took like a month to ship out to us because the item was backordered forever! it could have happened to your items!

I got my completion coupon about a month ago...and I have less then 3 weeks to go until my due date!
They even called me about a week ago to remind me to use it, bc it expires in May!

Yea that would kind've annoy me too. I'd probably just buy them and save the receipt this way when you actually receive them you can return them and just get a refund.

I don't know if I would let it bother me...If I were in that situation, I would probably just go buy the things I felt that I really needed, and then return the gifts, if I ever did get them...A little bit of a hassle, but what can you do...I'm sure people just bought them for you thinking they will give them as gifts around when the baby is born
