Supplimental insurance
Is anyone else looking into supplemental disability insurance before they try to have a baby so you get more money when you go out on leave? Have you gotten any prices?

Re: Supplimental insurance
I actually got AFLAC for short term disability through my job. Not sure how much it costs...I think it depended on how much you make a month(It was very affordable). The highest amount you can recieve from aflac per month is $1600.

Re: Supplimental insurance
I have aflac through my job and I pay 54.60 every two weeks. It all depends on what you make and what benefit period you choose. Monthly I am set to recieve $2300 from Aflac. I know with Aflac once you get a policy you cannot give birth within the first ten months of the effective date of the policy. So that might be something you want to keep in mind if you are actively trying right now.

I know Alfac's plan is called Short term Disability. Everyone that I know who has had a supplemental insurance say that it was the best decision they ever made. Good Luck!

Re: Supplimental insurance
We actually get short term disability through work, up to 26 weeks (although I don't think you get full 26 weeks, only what s medically necessary )
