Re: Coming home outfit for mid March?

My C-section is scheduled for March 19th.

I have 2 outfits, one for a boy and one for a girl. This is our 2nd so the outfits say little brother and little sister.

I have a grey hoodie that can be used for either a girl or a boy that would go with either outfit...

And I made both a girl and a boy hat and both will come to the hospital so I can use the appropriate one.

Re: Coming home outfit for mid March?

I also wanted to add in...

A lot of coming home outfits are "complete sets" with a sweater, hat, booties, blankets, etc.

I didn't go that particular route because it was important to me to go the little bro/little sis route, since this is our 2nd. We got a Big Sis shirt for my 6.5yo DD to wear on the same day. So I was set on that.

But if you find an outfit that you love but not the coordinating sweater/blanket, etc...keep in mind...

You may have a bundle me or shower-cap style bundle me on the car seat that you will be taking the baby home with, so yuo don't have to worry TOO much about bundling the baby up. And of course you can use just a light blanket if it is a mild day! March can bring almost any kind of weather!

Good luck and post what you decide on!

Re: Coming home outfit for mid March?

Well, I'm due April 9th, but there's a good chance that our little peanut is going to make a mid March arrival b/c the OB is taking me off my meds to prevent contractions on March 12th. Soooo....here's what we picked out to take home DS. We figured this, plus a hat, socks, and he'll be in the bundle me in the car seat, he should be warm enough.

Ugh! Baby Gap's website is slow so I can't get the pics. This is the pic of the onesie. Then we got a pair of navy blue fleece sweatpants and navy blue zip up fleece sweatshirt to match.
