Someone please help me w/the timing of this:
To all of you who have ever posted an IVF journal, thank you. It has come in so handy and it has been extremely helpful in every way, helping us navigate this unknown course. I've been scouring them for weeks in anticipation of my own treatment.
Now that AF finally arrived, can you all please help me figure out about when my ER will be? Is it always around CD12 or is it 14? Or sooner? I think I need the IVF for dummies book,

Re: Someone please help me w/the timing of this:
They didnt give you a whole calendar?? My office gave me one but my oraries had other ideas and I'm actually doing my transfer when I was originally supposed to to a retreival.
It was a little different because I was on a month of Lupron partly with bcp. I came off bcp then got af about a week later. So my baseline was a week after I got af and not on cd3. Ill give dates to make it easier. Baseline 2/13, Then I was supposed to begin Stims 2 days later 2/15. Then monitoring 2/20 then they figured ER around 2/25 or. 2/26. Then ET either 3 or 5 days later depending on how many eggs they got. I think less than 5 is a 3 day and more than 5 is a 5 day.
Hope this helps! Good luck!!!!
Did they tell you to come in for a cd3? I think every office and protocol will be a bit different.

Thanks for the info! Yes they definitely gave me a protocol printout with all of the info. it's nice and long but it doesn't specify the days exactly because idk when my baseline sono will be yet. Today is CD2 and they said to call to make the baseline sono appointment after AF arrives. I was hoping for a more specific explanation than the sheet.

they won't be able to tell when the retrieval is exactly until they see how you respond to stims. mine was almost 2 weeks after I started stims. The follicle have to get to a certain size so they will be able to give you a better idea as you move forward.

exactly this... it's usually aprox two weeks after starting stims... give or take a few days.

I believe you go to North Shore. After the baseline sono and bloodwork, you will sit down with your doctor's nurse, and she will go over everything - from meds, to timeline, etc. That was also the nurse that called me every day w my updates/info, so she was very aware of my specific protocol. Since i had alredy done ivf w another re, i had a list of questions i asked my re during the sono. Good luck! By the way, that appt takes some time b/c you first meet with the doc then your nurse.

ITA. for me my ER was 14 days after starting stims. i was a slow responder at first, i tend to get very suppressed from BCPs. basically your lead follies need to mature and then depending on how many you have ganirelix or a similar agonist/antagonist will be used to prevent ovulation and allow smaller follies to mature. when you have many mature, you will trigger and ER will be ~36 hours later.

I do go to NSLIJ
Thank you all for this info- it is much later than I actually believed it was going to be! I thought it was 2 weeks from AF, and I now realize that It will be 2 weeks or so from Stims! Thank you thank you all for helping me figure this out.
