can we vent...a prego vent

Ok before I start I will just say I appreciated my body for the amazing gift it is able to do and I am thankful every day BUT...

I am really not one who enjoys the process!
A few weeks back a friend asked me what are some of the down sides of pregnancy and I just started to laugh...I didn't want to scare her but I wanted to be honest. Now that I'm almost 32 weeks I am starting hitting that stage of being sooooo done, but still have a few more weeks to go (esp with a 2.5yr old this time around)
So if anyone would like to join in my rant....

I miss my body being mine
HEMORRHOIDS
heart burn
waking up with vomit in the back of my throat on a daily basis
not being able to sleep
a back ache that only a prego can understand
BEING OUT OF BREATH constantly
not being able to shave anymore
not being able to take a long hot shower cause your feet start to swell
getting sick and not being able to take anything
peeing every 20 minutes
pure exhaustion
starting to waddle when I walk....
having a dh that doesnt quite understand it

I too was one that was so grateful to be PG (since it took 2 yrs) but at no point did I enjoy my pregnancy and can't believe that people enjoy the 9 months!

I went from trowing up all the time during my first tri to surviving my 2nd and then being in the hospital for my 3rd and being out of work.

All I can say if after giving birth it is nice to have my body back.....even with the added weight.

I'm only 15 weeks and i am already there with you. Dreading this. Can't wait to have the baby, but geez, this process takes a toll on you!!

I am right there with you. I'm approaching 34 weeks and I can't say I've enjoyed pregnancy. I don't HATE it but definitely not one of those ladies that feels absolutely glowing and wonderful and like it's the most beautiful thing. I COMMEND women like that and I wish I could feel that way but I don't feel beautiful. I feel large, uncomfortable, nauseous, slow, my head hurts, my ankles hurt etc.

I'm over itttt, I want the baby here already

I am right there with you.
This is my second pregnancy and of course it goes without saying how lucky I know I am to be able to get pregnant but it is definitely not a process I enjoy.
I am so ready to be finished and I am only 25 weeks.
I admire those that love being pregnant but I honestly do not understand the appeal.
I am bloated, fat, tired, exhausted, gassy, moody and just plain done especially with an almost 20 month old to run around after this time around.

At 28 weeks and have not had a terrible pregnancy but I'm ready to have my body back. Just to feel normal again

not being able to sleep

I also don't understand women who say they loved being pregnant. With all changes to the body, the hormones, the emotions, the weight gain, etc. It's not that easy to love. But again, we have to look at the greater good that is going to come of this. I say this as I spent the last 3 days crying uncontrollably.

ahh ive been waking up in the middle of the night with a vomit taste in my throat too !

I'm only at 7 weeks and I teased dh he did this to me a bunch of times this past week while I was sick, I didn't really have the 24hr morning sickness with ds#1

I did not enjoy my pregnancy...especially my last tri: I was miserable! But you will not believe me when I say that I miss being pregnant. Mainly bc I had good reason for wearing my maternity clothes. (still wearing them)

I can't wait for this to be over. I'll add to the list:

- hip pain
- heel pain
- leaky boobs
- weird hair growth

I miss sky high heels, cocktails, bacon, deli meat, and lots of wine.

I am definitely not one of those happy glowing preggers!

Agreed! I love that I am having a baby and I love feeling him kick but otherwise, I don't love being pregnant. I am looking forward to this being over.
