How did you pick your RE?
My husband just got a job in Cali, so i will be moving in the next couple of months. I was going to use the RE that my OB recommends, but now I am going to have to find a RE in LA.
What do I look for? How do I find them? Are there certain questions I should ask?

Re: How did you pick your RE?
Important for me (in no particular order): --accept my insurance --monitoring hours work with my schedule --An actual RE does all sonos, sees you each day --Close to either home or work --Not too many RE's in practice 1-3 is my ideal --Know about MY diagnosis and are open to trying things outside of the "text book" --I get along with them...I'm a tough customer!
Best of luck to you!

This, and I'm going to add..
-Easily accessible/good communication
- Explains things in 'patient friendly' terms so you understand what's going on
- Location isn't SUPER important to me as long as it's within reason and the person's reputation is worth the commute.

Re: How did you pick your RE?
I'm going to be honest, by googling his name and seeing what others thought. Many women said emphatically "I love him," "he has amazing bedside manner", and "he got me pregnant."

Re: How did you pick your RE?
we were referred to my RE by my ob/gyn. I also did a lot of research online (checking SART) and speaking to some of the gils on LI families. I know I made the right decision.

Re: How did you pick your RE?
Considering my problem is recurrent miscarriage.... It was a no brainer that I would go to Dr B.

Re: How did you pick your RE?
I got a referral from my OB, but he actually referred me to a doc who happens to be my neighbor.
I feel comfortable at the practice, and the monitoring hours work for me.

Re: How did you pick your RE?
I agree with the other ladies. I also think it depends upon your issues, specific or not. I would still make a couple of consultations and go with whom you feel will fit your needs best.
