need help with a nursery chair/rocker please...

okay registered at bru but will go anywhere.

heres the problem.
i am almost 6 feet tall and plus sized .. the "cheap" gliders are around 200 at least and for my body size...seem veryyyyy uncomfy and rickety.

there are super nice ones...but sorry i cant afford 350 plus another 150 for the foot glidey thing.

i need help ladies.

i can do cream/chocolate/sage colors and the wood part would be best in a light color or black bc our furniture is natural wood and the room is painted blue and white.

i dont have to have a glider but do need the ottoman/foot rest thing bc i have a feeling that iw ill be using this chair alot while bfing/feeding.

any suggestions??? tia

Do you not want to put it on your registry? You will probably get some gift cards and if you don't get it for a gift you can use the GD to compliment your registry plus I think BRU gives you a percentage off everything that get bout off the registry.

I did not register for my glider. Instead I used a coupon and got it from Buy Buy Baby. It was an Upholstered Glider in a sage/white color and it was super comfortable. DH also had no problem sitting in it and being comfortable in it and he is 6'3" and back then was about 215 (he has now lost weight). I think it is an all around great chair. I also did not get the ottoman to go along with it, just the medela nursing foot stool.

While dh and I are small framed, we did end up going for one of those expensive priced chairs. I price watched one specific chair on BRU for about 1-2 months And one day they had this crazy online sale on it. I wound up getting both pieces for 320 I believe! So keep an eye out. I was convinced that we weren't going to be able to get the one we wanted! It's a shermag.

Walmart have great deals on Gliders but i don't know the quality of them.

Try checking out cymax stores online for cheaper prices, free s/h, no tax and more color options!

Are you on the buy/ sell group on FB? People are always posting nice looking gliders there. Warning----some gliders barely or do not fit through standard doors. I wasn't able to get ours into the nursery so I had to keep it in the living room.

Have you looked at the Shermag brand that they carry? That's what we've had since my 1st was born in late 2009 & I love it (I don't remember which model we have though). I nursed ds & used it A LOT in the 1st year & both dh & I still use it regularly for reading stories & for playing (ds likes climbing up on it & rocking). I'm 5'9," dh is 6'2," we're both plus sized & it's still like new. Like the pp's mentioned, we used a 20% off coupon when we purchased it + some gift cards & wound up paying maybe $150 out of pocket for the chair/ottoman combo.

I bought mine on Overstock. It was cheaper than BBB (with using a coupon) and it was no tax and free shipping.
