Those who registered @ Babies R Us
Did you start your registry in the store or online?
If you registered in the store- did they give you the bag with the "goodies" up front right away?
If you registered online- did you request the bag with the "goodies" after the fact and did they give it to you?

with DD #1 I started off in store and they gave a congrats package, forget what was inside it because it was 3 yrs ago lol.
you can do it online also but not sure how the congrats package is done.

I started mine online and then a few weeks later went in and told the lady I started it online and got a bag. It has some cute little things in it, nothing crazy.

We just started registering today, at the store. We were given the bag when we returned the scanner at the end of shopping.

I did mine in the store and finished online because they gave me the bad of goodies once I finished my in store registry and I also got a coupon in the mail to get a $10 gift card if I opened up my registry in the store.

I started one online, only because I was just keeping track of some things I needed. Then I went to the store to add a thing or two and I got my gift when I was done. It was just a bunch of free samples and some coupons. There was a big checklist for a registry that would have been helpful to have for first time mommy's, not sure why they don't give it to you up front  You could even scan the items right from the checklist and not search for them in the store.
In any case, it was much easier to have the registry done online first and saves you time when you get to the store!

I Started mine online and then went into store later on to add some more things. They gave me the gift bag after I had finished scanning for the day. Nothing spectacular in it but I have to say, I loveeeeed sniffing that sample newborn diaper they included

I opened mine in store because I had a coupon for a $10 gift card if I opened one. Finished online though.

I started it online, then went to the Bay Shore store and it was HORRIBLE! They handed me a scan gun and said "you know what to do with this, right?" No one even sat down with us or asked us questions or anything.
Then I went to the store in Whitestone, Queens and it was BEAUTIFUL. They gave me the bag of goodies there.

I was told by someone at the registry desk in the store (Westbury) that if you start your registry online your completion coupon is only 10% and if you start it in store its 15%. Don't know if that was her way to get us to do it there or if its the truth but I figured I would share!

We registered in-store at BBB and we got the bag... I threw most of it out.

Yes! This is what we were told yesterday when we registered at Westbury.
