wedding the day of my transfer

If all go as planned I am supposed to have my transfer on march 2nd and I have a wedding that night. Is that bad? Will I be in pain or should I be resting? Would there be a way to alter my medication to make it be the day after?

My doctors told me to stay home and relax. I suppose you could... but when I got my transfer I said it bed 2 days after. Although it resulted in a chemical, it was the closest I have been.

I would probably send DH to the wedding and stay on the couch/in bed with my pineapple and room temperature liquids. Chat Icon

Its a girl I work with. I already sent my RSVP because I didn't realize that it was leap year and that 5 days after will be friday not saturday. Should I tell her I cannot come now?

It is a personal choice.

I don't think I would want the pressure of dressing up,...sitting there all night...etc.

IMO I would pass on the wedding.
For all you put into getting to the transfer point one missed party is worth it it to me. I had to miss my god daughters 1st birthday it sux but I'm 5 mo now.

I agree with this. Some say it doesn't matter, but I think rest and relaxation is key to a successful transfer.

I'm going to be transfering on Friday and my docs advise 2 days of modified bed rest.
I'll be missing my goddaughter's 1st bday.
Are you sure you will transfer on day 5?
I only have 10 follicles so I don't think I'll have a day 5 transfer. I only found out today that I will be retrieving on tuesday. So i think it also maybe too early to say

Idk, if there's all this research that supports things like acupuncture to relax the day of transfer, then there must be something to the importance of keeping things low stress post-transfer. I wouldn't go.

I would definitely pass. My dr told me to go home and take it easy that day. I felt kind of crampy afterwards and tired and couldnt imagine wanting to get dressed and be at a wedding unless it was a sister or best friend of mine.

Re: wedding the day of my transfer

Those days are just estimates at this point. Depending on how fast you stim and how your embryos develop, it could swing a couple days.

I would play it by ear. If you do actually transfer that day, I would not go. I stayed in bed for almost 2 full days... I think a wedding is too much for transfer day. But good luck with your cycle!!!Chat Icon

Yea I just don't want to wait until the last minute to tell her and chance she will have to pay for me. Of course this would be if everything goes perfect it would be that day.
