Thanks guys. I have been doing online quotes. Got a nice rate from Progressive. Going to try All State, Geico and State Farm next.

Are you in NY? I didn't think Progressive covered NY for home owners.

Yes, Farmingdale. It came up with the address and the appraised value of the house and a purchase button.

Best quote I got was from Allstate. I called a bunch of places and brokers.

We just changed to Occidental cause the company we had before (Interboro) jacked up the prices at renewal because of all the losses they had during the hurricane. We did not have a loss but our rate increase was to pay for all the other losses they had.
Im in Farmingdale too!

Same as our auto -- USAA. By having 2 policies with them, we got a discount on our auto and we got an excellent rate for homeowners.
