Introducing my baby girl!
Emily Sophia was born a week early, on Jan. 24th, weighing in at 6lbs 15oz. So much for GD babies being on the bigger side!
I went in for my 39 week appointment and ended up being sent to L&D because my blood pressure was very high. Thankfully it was not pre-eclampsia but my OB suggested inducing me since I was so far along and my blood pressure kept rising.
I was given Cervadil at 8pm on Monday night and 9am the next morning, the OB broke my water. Within minutes, I started having strong contractions and 20 minutes later received an epi and Pitocin. By 11:50 or so I was fully dilated and ready to push. I literally pushed 8 times and she was out! Such an easier labor than my DS, THANK GOD. Here's a few pics of my little princess:
