Has anyone seen Dr. Peredo in Smithtown
Just wondering if anyone has seen her and what your experience has been.

I've seen her a bunch of times. You wait forever in the waiting room and she tends to push her products, BUT I continue to go because she always solves my skin dilemmas.
My husband and sons see 2 other doctors in the practice and are always happy with the care.

Re: Has anyone seen Dr. Peredo in Smithtown
She is very popular on these boards if you do a search for her. However, I had a very bad experience. She removed something that turned out to be skin cancer & I called for the results several times & no one could find them. Someone from her office finally told me that they are sure that the results were fine otherwise I should have heard something. Then I found out 3-4 months later that it was skin cancer and I needed further surgery. I only found out b/c I went to see her again for something else. If I had never called again I would never have known. I refused to even use her recommended surgeon. I had to have the surgery but I took my biopsy report elsewhere. She has a lot of people from LIF who love her but this was too big of a screwup for me to look past it.
She does sell a shampoo that I love. I think it's $85, or maybe that was the price for the shampoo and conditioner. I've gone back to buy it from her spa but I have even stopped doing that. For that price I do not have to support the spa owned by someone who neglected to inform me of bad biopsy results.

I am going for a consult about something cosmetic and still see my regular dermatologist for yearly skin cancer check, so maybe I should be okay.

I thought that my issue was cosmetic. It was something that Dr. Peredo only removed because I said I did not like how it looked. She said that I could leave it, yet it turned out to be a skin cancer. I really almost didn't check back for results. I later had some similiar marks removed by a doctor who didn't have the fancy office or a spa but who was really doing the same thing for me. I no longer get the draw to her and I think it's a lot of smoke and mirrors. The office is a mill. I would either go to my regular dermatologist or to the ofice where I eventually had the surgery. It was a big dermatology office in Plainview.

Re: Has anyone seen Dr. Peredo in Smithtown
For the amount of time I waited in the office (went twice), I didn't feel like it was worth it. I still have the same skin issues.
