If anyone has time
To help me figure this out I would greatly appreciate it.
Last month (January) I got AF a week early. OK, NBD move onto the next month. I've been testing with opks, testing testing testing...nothing. According to a "normal" cycle I should have O'd around the 27th of January. On a whim I tested last night, wouldn't you know I got a + opk.
Isn't that late?
Could my cycle be changing/shifting?
Could I have had a chemical BEFORE my missed AF last month? is that even possible?
Yes, I could go to my dr and ask these questions, but frankly I don't have the time at the moment and until I feel it;s an issue I don't want to waste time there unnecessarily, since my insurance only covers an annual and not an office visit.
TIA for any insight

I was also going to ask what CD you're on. And how long your cycles typically are.

Re: If anyone has time
That is very odd. To have a chemical and get AF a week early is unusual, I doubt that was the case but it seems like you are all over the place. I don't recall your entire history but how long have you been off of hormonal BC (if you were ever on it) and tracking your cycles?

Re: If anyone has time
OMG off bc for like YEARS, like 7 years or more. I had an mc last January which is when my cycles started getting messed up. Then they got back on track and now this nonsense.

Re: If anyone has time
Is this the 1st month youve used opks? My cycles differ - ive O'd as late as cd23 but my cycles lengthen themselves in cases like that. I would wait to see when/if AF shows up - if it winds up being a longer cycle than usual, fine. If u found u O'd on cd23/24 and had a 30 day cycle, i would follow up with a dr for bloodwork. If this is the 1st month you have tracked with opk's, its hard to tell bc its not enough to establish any kind of pattern.

I've used opks before and always got a + around the time it's calculated to, hence my confusion

# of days from when u O til when AF shows. So if u normally O on cd16 say, and ur cycle is 30 days - ur LP is 14 days, for example. my lp tends to be 14 days i think - last month i O'd on cd13 and my cycle was 27 days... but back in nov i O'd on cd23 but my cycle lengthened to 37 days that month. ur lp should basically stay the same - so if u O on different days, that's fine as long as u have a healthy lp.

Re: If anyone has time
alos, now I'm sick and out of opks and I am sooo not into running out to get more to keep tesing. If my cycle were to have changed to 25 days I would have started today or tomorrow, so if I'm back to 30 I'll start on 2/13
