Vegas

Dh and I are tossing ariound the idea of going to Vegas this summer. We were thinking the last week of July possibly for our anniversary for 5 days.
1) Is there a certain time in the summer than is chaeper than others?
2) We def want to stay on the strip, pref in the middle at a reasonably priced hotel. Any suggestions. I want to look into the Mirage. Is the Planet Hollywood hotel new? How is that?
3) Would it be better to leave on a Sunday and come back Friday? or Leave on Monday and come back Saturday?
Nether one of us has been to Vegas in years so I have a lot of questions.

i went in july in 2009 and stayed at mirage. Mirage was good. IIt is hottttttttttttt. it is also crowded. we went in early june in 2011 and significantly less crowded.
cheaper is probably sunday to friday. friday night and saturday night are expensive.
my dh and i usually do monday to friday or sunday to friday.

I loved the mirage. If ur availability dates range, i would plug them into a site like expedia and see what comes up cheapest.

We try to do Vegas every other year and even thoug it's hot, we prefer going in the Summer. It does get crowded too though bbut you can get great deals because it's Summer time.

The Mirage is nice. Also consider the Flamingo, which was re done years ago and has a great pool area. You can go on to Broadwaybox.com and check on what discounts and deals there are for Vegas. Last time we went, we stayed at a suite at the MGM for less than $100 a night with dining and gaming credit.
