Home Alarms Q re: de-activating/reactivating

Q: We've had our alarm for 4 years; recently DH disconnected our alarm yet we're still paying the 3 month premium.

What happens if we stop paying the premium. At some point DH said we had to pay premium for either 3 or 5 years or else??? (not sure what??)

What happens if we stop paying (besides not being monitored?) Does this affect us if we reactivate w/ them? What if we reactivate w/ someone else.

Thx.

I would just call and cancel. We have Slomins but I don't remember signing any type of contract.

All alarm companies have their own panels, so if you went with someone else, it would be an non-issue - they would install a new one. They would probably check the wiring and make any necessary adjustments.

did you sign a contract? We have Slomins and we had to sign a 5 year contract. So we have to pay for 5 years no matter what... I would call your company and ask.

Thank you, yes I know we signed a contract & think it was for 5 years too. Yet besides them not monitoring us wasn't sure what would happen. :) I should find contract & just call, I guess.

Thx.
