Devastated
Just got a call from my RE that i have to stop all medication (was doing Stims and IUI probably next week) and I will have to use protection when ovulating until I get clearance from my other doctor for my thyroid...I have hashimoto's thyroiditis and apparently its acting up and my thyroid is all out of whack and if I were to get pregnant theres a high risk of early miscarriage or harm to the fetus....I won't be going back for thyroid blood work until the beginning of March and my RE said not to come back until the bloodwork shows my thyroid is stable....the hits just keep coming...I'm so disappointed and feel like the week of injectables that i've been doing has been a total waste and i've just been pumping myself with hormones for nothing...sorry to go on and on i'm just so upset and needed to vent

Re: Devastated
Sorry to crash and sorry for your news. I, too have hoshimotos and pcos and had trouble ttc for 18 months. I just wanted to let you know that there is now a correlation between going gluten free and seeing thyroid levels stabilize in people with hoshimotos and people with autoimmune conditions in general. I just founf this out Wednesday and am continuing to research further into it but I am seriously considering going gluten free (my levels are a mess again). Either way I wish you the very best.

Re: Devastated
Thanks so much for that info...I know going gluten free is not easy but I think its something I might have to look into...i'm just so frustrated. And i'm sorry if anyone was offended that i made the post subject "devastated" but thats just how i feel. Thanks for the hugs and kind words, it does help to know that i'm not alone.

Re: Devastated
Going gluten free can help with any autoimmune disease. Gluten/wheat inflames the body, which in turn can bother any autoimmune disease.
I have Hashimoto's disease too, I have tried gluten free here and there but it is hard to stick to!
