Super Bowl Treats
I'm not hosting the super bowl, but my SIL/BIL are. I'm certain they are going to have a big spread but I wanted to make some stuff for it anyway. I'm not going to ask what they're making and what they need because we're not very friendly and they'd probably just tell me not to bother. But that's not the right thing to me.
Sooooo, help me pick which delicious appetizers to make for the Super Bowl! I'll be making the top two.
And if anyone is interested in any of the recipes, just let me know! I found them ALL on pinterest. Man do I love that place!
ETA: I'll also be making two desserts but they aren't anything special- football shaped red velvet truffles and football chocolate covered strawberries.

Re: Super Bowl Treats
I really would ask what they're having and if you can bring something. Spinach dip, mozzarella and pepperoni seem like pretty standard football apps.
If they say not to bring anything, I'd stick to alcohol or just dessert.

Hmmm you're right that the spinach dip and the pepperoni wheels are pretty standard. I just liked pepperoni wheels cause they're easy and the spinach bread bowls because it's not just a dip. Alcohol is BYOB anyway though. Maybe I'll do the mashed potato balls and crab cakes since it's the two hosts two most favorite things and they aren't exactly standard. I'm still not asking though because that would mean I'd have to acknowledge their existence.

I forgot to say my first choice was the spinach dip bowls.
I think, even if they have spinach dip, yours will be different because they are in the bread bowls, right?
I wouldn't care if there was a multiple of a dish but it would be better to have variety so, if you think there are two recipes they won't already have, I might lean towards those just so you won't have food duplicates!

Re: Super Bowl Treats
I like the mashed potato balls but are you frying them...I would be concerned that they may get soggy

I love pepperoni so my vote goes for the pepperoni rolls.

Re: Super Bowl Treats
I would not bring something to a party that needs to be heated up. Especially if you are not going to clear it with them beforehand, they may not have oven availability for you. I would stick with something cold or room temp. That said, they all sound delicious.
