They'll need to get the appraiser back out to the property..but it shouldn't take more than 3-5 business day to get the certification back. I'd ask your broker/loan officer if they can give you a free 7 day extension on your rate since it's their delay in closing. they should have known the appraisal was expiring so soon.

Thank you! Yes, the absolutely should have known - we are angry to say the least, but nothing we can do at this point other than get it done. 3-5 business days seems like eternity with all we have riding on it - but I'm sure it'll go quickly. Guess I better start making some calls. Thanks!
