So Nervous...Starting Gonal-F tonight!
Hey girls - i'm starting gonal-f tonight (for first injectables/IUI cycle) and i'm very nervous...not sure what to expect and hoping of course that this works...been trying over a year, 3 rounds of clomid and iui...Any advice would be appreciated!! TIA and happy Friday!

Good luck!!! I was so scared of the injectables also but doesnt hurt, at all. Promise.
I froze the area (my stomach) with a vodka bottle I had in the freezer. When it was really numb I didnt even feel my husband put it in. After 2 days I was doing all my shots myself.

I hate needles and I was fine! Good luck!! One thing no one ever told me was that the pen plunge is harder to press than you might think. I though I was doing it wrong.

I agree with this. I thought I wasnt pushing hard enough. Pay attention to the clicks, once they stop (I had two clicks for 75 units) you know you took the shot right.

Thanks ladies! MD had a pen in the office to try and yes it does require a lot more pressure to press the plunger in than i would have ever imagined! Thanks for that tip though :)

Where did you inject? the nurse told me anywhere on the belly but not too close to the belly button or the hip?

I actually injected it in my thigh, per my RE's recommendation.
