I'm up to late....

researching booster seats and I'm so confused and frustrated!!! My 9 month DD is about to grow out of the infant carrier. My DS is 3 but is only about 32 pounds. He is in a Britax Roundabout. Here's my dilemma, do I just move my DD to the Britax seat and buy a booster seat for my DS. I feel very uncomfortable about a seat just using the seatbelt with him. Maybe I'm crazy and it's just because I can't believe he's 3 but to me he is still my little guy. I've seen booster seats that have 5 point harnesses but isn't it somewhat the same as his carseat already? The next dilemma is depending on what type of seat to buy I'm buying at least 3. One for my car, one for my husband's car and another for our babysitter. It would be cheaper to buy 3 booster seats rather than 3 Britax but I do not want to comprimise the safety of my children. HELP!!! What do you guys have your kids in?

I was in the same boat as you. I moved Joseph to a booster seat when he was 4 - and it just didn't feel safe. Maddie is in old convertible car seat.

I wouldn't put him in a booster seat with just a seatbelt. My niece is 4 and I don't like her in one. It doesn't seem safe. The one with the 5 point harness looks good. They are like the regular convertible car seat but I think they have shorter sides so they are not as confining as the other car seat. You should go to BRU or BBB and look at them.

I bought the Cosco Highback booster with the harness. Providing your child isn't above the requirements for the harness on the booster, it works great. Once they are older, you can switch over to the seatbelt.

I love ours and so does my DD (we switched her over at 2)
