Atlantic City

What is your favorite thing to do in AC (in the winter) besides gamble? I am going with my DH this weekend and want some ideas of other things to do. Any good stops on the way from LI to AC?

There are some outlet shops right off the boardwalk.

Are you staying someplace with an indoor pool? I usually stay at Harrah's and they have a really nice tropical pool area with a bar & food service.

LBI is about 25 miles north of AC but it's probably dead in the winter. If you want to go out of your way a bit - Philly is about an hour west of AC.

Otherwise, I can't think of any place to stop in between in the winter except Manhattan.


eta...I think there's a ripley's believe it or not on the boardwalk.

we were just there two weeks ago. dh and i walked the boardwalk from tropicana to the end hotel, stopping in each casino as we walked down the boardwalk.
another day we went outlet shopping in the afternoon then we drove over to borgata.

ac is very sketchy in most areas. we would only go out during the day. we stayed in our casino at night.

I LOVE the brunch at Sun Room. It's at Water Club. Amazing pool there as well if you're looking for somewhere to stay.

There's also outlet shopping!
