couch shopping- where to go?
my husband and i are going couch shopping on wednesday. I know i want to hit up JCPenny Home, but where else should we go?
I don't want to spend a ton of $$$ since it's just a couch for the computer room that we don't really sit on.

We are going to look at Ashley, Raymour and Flanigan, Bob's and Huffman Koos.
Not sure if they are all on LI but they are the only furniture chains here upstate

If you're not looking to spend alot of money check the Macy's Furniture store in Carle Place. They have a clearance center in the back of the store with some really great deals.

I've purchased a couple of couches from Bare Boards in Bohemia. Their service is good and they offer free delivery within a pretty decent range - I think it's Nassau and Western Suffolk. I like that they have manufacturers that give you dozens of fabric options. I looked at some other places and there would be one type of fabric in 4 colors - not much choice. I prefer being able to customize the couch to suit my style.

We got our furniture at Fortunoff Macys and Bloomies. Overstock has good stuff too, realllly cheap

we just looked at bobs, ashley, and raymor today
we're 99% positive we're going with a couch from bob's..its extremely comfortable but i feel like it's actually stylish too
a lot of the couches at ashley and raymor were either stylish and beyond stiff, or really comfortable and ugly

Cloth. Maybe one with slip covers for the animals. Not sure.
Color... not sure on that either. Maybe a redish or khaki color. Will have to see what they have.
Not looking to spend more than $1k either on the couch.

well we went with Bobs ladies.
Went to Raymour, JCPenny Home and Bobs. Priced things out.
JCPenny home was a disappointment. Raymour was good, but their clearance store next to it was better. Almost got the couch from there.
But Bobs had that 5 year protection warranty deal for $69 that covers everything, which sold us! With 1- 3 1/2 year old and a baby due any day now... the protection plan might be a good investment. 
Plus Bobs delivery was only $49 and we're all the way OUT east. Raymour was $129 for delivery.
