Loving all the Chat Icon stories.

I think that we don't get enough "Good" surprises in life and this is one you can give yourself, DH and entire family.

I couldn't agree with you more! We want to be just as surprised as everyone else.

Re: Sex of the baby

I want to know.. its funny I didn't think I did but as more and more of my friends have babies I notice that at showers for boys/girls you get all cute stuff and for ? you get yellow onesies. I hate the colors green and yellow and pink and blue are my two favorite colors. I want to be able to design a nursery in boats or something girly... yeah I want to know.

While I see how it would be really exciting to find out once the baby is born, I don't think I could wait. I'd want to be able to get the nursery ready and all that. And I'd want to be able to start picturing my LO as whatever he or she is going to be.

We were team green with my DD and it was AMAZING! She had a huge pink wardrobe as soon as visitors started arriving, I never felt "unprepared" for a moment, and she ended up having the girliest room I could decorate. It can be done!

We will definitely be team green next time as well.

When i was pregnant with DD i wanted to know but DH didnt so i agreed to wait. It was honestly the best surprise of my life. Everyone guessed that i was having a boy and i just had a feeling it was a boy. We really didnt decide on a girls name because we were so convinced...well we were shocked when i gave birth to a girl. When the Dr said "shes perfect" we were like SHE??? It was awesome. And when DH went into the waiting room and told everyone "Its a girl" everyone was shocked but all said the look on his face when he got to announce the news was priceless. I will definately be team Chat Icon again.

On a side note all of my friends and family were annoyed my whole pregnancy because they wanted to know...but too bad Chat Icon

This was EXACTLY us!! We were convinced we were having a boy, everyone insisted we were having a boy and so we never entertained the idea of having a girl. We did have a name picked out but boy we were SHOCKED in the OR. We couldn't believe it!! And when DH went out to the waiting room to tell everyone they were all so surprised and happy. It was just wonderful. Not knowing really added to the excitement! Chat Icon
