Re: Lovenox ladies...
it burns more when im tense so i sit down to try to relax. Other than injecting slowly... thats the only thing that really helps.

Re: Lovenox ladies...
It will always burn a bit....its the med that burns not the shot.
I also found that injecting at a 45 degree angle helps with bruising for me. I never had bruises until I was in the hospital for delivery and the nurses were giving me the shot and they were just gabbing it in and I had horrible bruises. Now that I am home and give it myself nice and easy I am back to no bruising.

I inject slowly and make sure the alcohol is dry before inserting. I use the generic brand too and it doesn't sting so much. I also pinch the skin and hold it while injecting. I have two bruises.

Re: Lovenox ladies...
I think it was Pennycat who posted the trick awhile ago. Or this might be a combo of a few peoples tricks.
Ice, press and spread the skin down instead of pinch, shoot, ice. Then I wait a bit before I get up.
Is it generic or real. The generic burns like a mo fo no matter what.

Re: Lovenox ladies...
The meds burn. Some ways it helped lessen the burn:
Ice the area a lot first.
INJECT SLOWLY!!!
Rotate where you are injecting..never inject in the same spot two days in a row..never inject in a sore/bruised spot.
Pinch the skin while injecting.
For my, my love handles hurt the least. Sometimes I barely felt a burn.

Re: Lovenox ladies...
Does anyone need any lovenox? I have a lot of the generic leftover and have not been able to get to the RE's office or Peri's Office to donate.
They expire between Jan-March.
