The tighter the bra the better. It hurts like a b!tch. But, it does dry up after a week or so. Try not to put added pressure on it. And don't let the shower water run over them

Re: For those that did not breastfeed...
I just wore a VERY tight sports bra. Mine hurt for like 3 days - but the 1st too - it REALLY hurt. I was told to put ice packs on them. I had sooooo many people coming and going - I couldn't do it. But I heard it helps. Plus, if you can take COLD showers - the warmth of the hot water is horrible!!

Re: For those that did not breastfeed...
In King Kullen, in the baby food aisle, they have small sportsball shaped ice packs for kids. I bet they'd fit in a bra and not be so noticable.
I was in so much pain for the c-section and ensuing complications that I never really noticed any pain. Maybe my milk just never came in.

Re: For those that did not breastfeed...
when it first came in it was horrible. I was able to stand one day of it since I couldn't get DD to latch on so the next day we went to BRU to get a pump and that relieved alot of it.
It didn't last long after I started pumping. I didn't drink enough water so my supply was really low.

Re: For those that did not breastfeed...
My milk never really came in. The day after I came home from the hospital (5 days pp) my boobs felt hard and hot, I bought a sports bra that was a bit snug and wore it for a few days but really after 1 day of wearing it I was fine.

Re: For those that did not breastfeed...
2 tight sports bras and ice packs. I didnt get engorged at all and it realy did not hurt. Took about 2-3 weeks for all my milk to go away.
