Beta level, and bleed question?
My beta yesterday was at 8.3, my beta prior before my loss was at 14k on 12/14, I miscarried on 12/17. I have to go back next week for another beta, but do you think it will be down to 0 by then? If so, how long after reaching 0 will I bleed? So confused

It really depends. I am in the same situation. My betas after my miscarriage went down quickly at first. The last three weeks however have taken forever. I was at an 11 beta two weeks ago yet I STILL have positive HPT's Granted..I use very sensitive ones..but still. I went in today for a beta and am hoping to see a zero or close to it. When you say how long after reaching zero will you bleed..do you mean how long after reaching zero will you get your period? If that's your question, my first m/c I ovulated within a day or two of my beta reaching zero and then had a period 14 days after ovulation. This time around...I got my period with HCG still in my system!! I did not ovulate. Cycles after m/c can just be crazy.

Thank you for giving me the info. Sorry that you have to go through this.
Yes, I meant to ask about getting my period after reaching 0. I didn't realize that ovulation was even a possibility within the m/c cycle.

Yes..many ovulate after a m/c and before their first post m/c AF. Some don't. Watch it closely if you think you want to try this cycle. From what I've read, ovulation usually comes pretty close in time to when your beta reaches zero. Good luck...I hope you get your take home baby soon

I agree. Ironically, I always ovulated like a "normal" woman would after miscarriage! And was very fertile too.
