I saw my Gyno today....
Went for my annual, and talked to him about my ttc struggles. He laughed his a** off when I described the rigorous BD schedule we are on....including Deanna's Plan and every othey day throughout the cycle. He says we are BDing too much!!!! He says to abstain from any sexual activity for 5 days prior to postive OPK. He says the volume will of spermies will increase tremendously. He also gave me the phone number for a infertility specialist in case we decide to go that route. What do you think about what he said???

Well then according to your gyno, i should be pregnant this month! I'll let you know!
Bottom line is that everyone is different and there isn't an exact thing that works for EVERYONE...some people say every other, some people say everyday, some people say only NEED to during o, who knows?

i agree with the pp...all doctors seem to say something else. i admit though, i havent hear of abstaining 5 days prior to a positive opk...is there even a way to predict that? i mean you can have a guess as to the date you should O but i dont know how consistent is is every month. Poor DH if i made him wait 3 days let alone 5!

1 year all together.....starting to get worried! I am going to try his way he next couple months then go see the re.

This confuses me.... stop 5 days before O!?!?! I have a short cycle so it would be the day AF leaves. I would agree everyone is different. Good luck... here is to saving up the spermies.

Sounds a bit weird that he laughed. If it's been a year, it might be time for your hubby to get an SA and to visit the RE. Can't hurt.

Thanks girls....wasn't sure it sounded right either, but I have heard so many different ways that my head is spinning.....I am nervous to try his way, but I will give it a month then see an RE.
