Happy New Year & Some Questions!

Hi All and Happy New Year!!! I'm new to the boards and looking forward to chatting with you.

Hoping you would be able to help me out with a question. About 3 weeks ago, I stopped taking birth control (I was on it for almost 4 years), and for the past few days I've had pains in my lower abdomen, random headaches, feeling nauseous for the past 2-3 days throughout the day, extremely tired, lost my appetite for a bunch of things, etc. My period isn't due until Jan 10th. Based on the iP app, I had my fertile days while being off the pill and when we a bunch of times during.

Is it even possible that I could have gotten pregnant, given that I stopped birth control not too long ago? I'm reading mixed things, and can't really get a test I'm guessing until my period goes or comes.

Any thoughts?

I am pretty new here myself, but I do believe its possible. In fact I know people who have gotten pregnant while on the pill by missing one or taking medicine while on it.

But if the pain in your lower abdomen is bad or persists you might want to see the doctor. Sometimes the pill protects you from getting things like cysts and you might want to check it out. Or it could be something else and be a coincidence that it corresponded with going off the pill.

Welcome! While it is possible to get pregnant right off of birth control, there's also a good chance you're going to notice a lot of new strange symptoms as your body adjusts to not taking the pill anymore. It's also possible that your cycle length will change off the pill. That's what happened to me. I really thought I might have been pregnant my first month trying because I felt so many symptoms which turned out to be period symptoms. It's probably too early for you to test but if you don't end up getting AF when you're due for it it couldn't hurt to take one, you never know! Good luck!

if u had unprotected sex you could be pregnant no matter what(assuming nobody has medical issues0

Thanks all! It looks like I just have to wait it out another week before I can truly find out. A big part of me really wishes that it's a little munchkin in me, but trying not to get my hopes up.
