If you answered my other thread about white everyday dinnerware...
Do you have a problem with it chipping? The reviews from all of the sets I'm looking at (PB, Crate and Barrel and Williams Sonoma) all have problems with chipping!!! What's your experience with your dishes?

No. And we just had this conversation at bc 2 weeks ago. The girl with pb had chips on a lot of her dishes but me (Gibson) and the girl with Food Network had none.

I have Mikasa French Countryside (same as Antique White but it is stoneware).
I don't have any chips. I noticed one crack in one bowl but I think that is from rough handling.
We use them everyday for over 4 years.

I didn't see your original question, but we have a set of everyday white plates from Ikea and no chips 4+ years later.

I think that's the set I have. I loved it so much I have 2 for events. I use it everyday for 4 years & there are some minor cracking to the paint.

Crate & Barrell plates, and the dinner plates have chipped (since they are larger, it's easy to knock them against things). The smallers plates and bowls have not.
It's not terrible, but we have had to replace two. Not sure I'd recommend their plates based on this.

See I had cordwood, & my DD, who was about 2 at the time smashed it into a million slivers that were almost like glass. Out they went! their website actually says they can't guarantee....guess not against my DD & marble kitchen floors!
